Dr Barani Ramalingam is a Sydney based specialist anaesthetist.
He completed his medical degree in India followed by anaesthetics training and intensive care training in the well renowned Christian Medical College, Vellore, India. After relocating to Australia, he worked in Queensland in Intensive Care and then completed his Australian anaesthetic training in Sydney. He now works as a Consultant Anaesthetist across multiple hospitals in Sydney, in both public and private settings.
Dr Ramalingam has experience in a wide range of anaesthetic settings with special interest in orthopaedics, perioperative medicine and clinical ultrasound. In addition, he is actively involved in mentoring and teaching medical students and junior doctors. He takes utmost care and interest to ensure each patient is provided with personalised treatment according to their needs. His goal is to ensure you feel supported and informed in a time when it is natural to feel vulnerable.
Outside of medicine, Barani enjoys cooking, spending time with his family and exploring the great outdoors.
